A three-way partnership has brought the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), industry giant Globe Telecom and streaming platform Upstream together to assure Filipino families that their annual Christmas tradition of watching Metro Manila Film Festival entries will continue this year despite the coronavirus pandemic.
MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim, Globe President Ernest Cu and Upstream’s big boss Dondon Monteverde digitally inked a memorandum of agreement on Friday morning via Zoom. All three expressed a single objective for this first time venture and that is to bring joy to Filipinos come December, especially given this most challenging year the whole world continues to endure.
