THE other night, an email from primo Fritz Maramba reminded the email cluster that 50 or so years ago, we watched “Love Story.” Haunting. (Particularly because the day or so before the Inquirer had a long article on “Rebecca,” another classy film.) And I had to wonder, “Where do I begin…” this piece (borrowing from “Love Story” shown just before martial law, when I vowed not to watch any film in a theater for the duration of ML; I did not).

A 42-year-old man with hardly any experience in any national government heading the House intrigues. Or a Prez without just sending a messenger to tell Allan, Alan and All: “The Prez wants this,” and hears, “Oo, and what else can I do for him (or Mayor Sara; in one speculation,” the new speaker is really her choice).
