ONE Championship is set to have its biggest event yet next Friday, October 30 as the One: Inside the Matrix showcases stacked match cards. And as early as now, ONE Championship founder Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chatri Sityodtong reveals that Singapore is just the start.

On Friday, One: Inside the Matrix will have a live audience of 250 “Superfan” ticket holders inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Sityodtong said a big part of how this plan came to fruition was because of the success of their event last October 9 when One had its pilot, closed-door production.

“October 9th was a huge turning point for us a couple of weeks ago. In the last several months, we’ve been working with the Singapore government to bring back sports international events of any kind. One Championship is leading the way in Singapore, and we did it on October 9. Our Covid-19 protocol was very strong and [everything] was without a problem,” he stated during the One media coverage.

Because of this and with Sityodtong leading the way, One is going to have more events all over Singapore, and those events could have live audiences if things work out.

“We’re gonna keep on throwing events in Singapore as well as in Thailand and in China. So, you’re gonna see more international events from other countries. We’re talking to a few different governments from around the world for international events,” he stated.

Unfortunately, the Philippines won’t be seeing the top Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotional event anytime soon, as there are still no talks on having even an empty stadium event in the country. But Sityodtong assured Filipino fans that a big event is in store for the country once everything goes back to normal.

“There are no plans right now to do empty stadium events in the Philippines, but when we come back in the Philippines, we’ll make sure it’s a spectacular show. And, hopefully, by then, fans will be allowed in the stadium [in order] that it’ll be a big show,” he said.

The One: Inside the Matrix will feature four title fights and Eduard “Landslide” Folayang’s return to the One circle.

Folayang will be taking on Australia’s Anthony “Spartan” Caruso as the Pinoy MMA Legend is looking to prove that the sunset on his career is far from reality.

Meanwhile, the Apprentice: One Championship edition will feature several Filipinos on the show.

Sityodtong revealed that the first season of the show will be shot in Singapore and it will feature a few of our countrymen.

“The show will be shot in Singapore and out of the 16 global contestants, two are Filipinos. And out of 12 [CEOs] who are joining me as guest judges, one is a Filipino CEO,” he said.

“In terms of world champions, you’re gonna see some of the biggest names in the world will be joining the show to help the contestants in the physical challenges,” he added.
