CLAIMING that a number of its member-companies are on the verge of bankruptcy, the Metalworking Industry Association of the Philippines (MIAP) has appealed to legislators and concerned government agencies to consider a stimulus package to save the homegrown industry.
Established in 1978, MIAP is the recognized national organization in the metalworking sector representing 12 active chapters nationwide with 225 company-members, 14 academic affiliates, nine private and government institutional affiliates, and one industry organization affiliate with 130 members.
