DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur: The country’s 89th Malasakit Center opened on Monday at the Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital here attended by Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, who vowed to establish more centers in various parts of the archipelago to provide financial and medical assistance, especially to poor Filipino patients.

Go, chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, said Malasakit Centers are one-stop shops that host concerned government agencies namely the Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, PhilIPPINE Health Insurance Corp. and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office from which patients may seek financial and medical help.
