But then, I think that these two, well, pursuits of pleasure for money on a poor man’s bet have been a feature of social life in rural areas throughout the Philippine archipelago, except perhaps in Muslim Mindanao and most of the Cordilleras, particularly in villages where the Igorots and other tribes live.
