The economic impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic would continue to drag the country’s headline inflation, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said on Thursday.
In a Viber message, BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno told reporters that the “balance of risks [to inflation] continues to be on the downside, due largely to the impact of” possibly deeper disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic on economic activity here and overseas.
