Malacañang on Thursday rejected the proposal of several senators to redirect the proposed P19.1-billion funding for a multiagency anti-insurgency task force to housing and the government’s pandemic response.
Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon said that at least seven senators favor a partial or total realignment of the 2021 appropriation for the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-Elcac), which is under heavy criticism for branding progressive lawmakers, activists and administration critics as communists and enemies of the state.
