Grandmaster Wesley So of the United States cruised through his quarterfinal assignment at the expense of Jan-Kzystof Duda of Poland, 16-10, on Friday (Manila time) to keep his hope alive of clinching his first ever Speed Chess Championship.
It was a sort of replay as So beat Duda in 2019, also in the quarterfinal.
