BACOLOD CITY: Residents of Bacolod City are now mandated to wear face shields in public places and are now mandatory in Bacolod City. Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran said the Sangguniang Panlungsod passed City Ordinance 944 requiring the mandatory use of face shields and the observance of proper social distancing in public places. In addition to face masks, face shields are also required inside the public and private vehicles as well as inside supermarkets, public markets, malls, venues for meetings (private or government service initiated); venues where private or government services are provided; all enclosed offices or establishments doing business; public transportation or public utility vehicles and enclosed work places, the ordinance said.
