THE international community has heeded the call of the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in Manila and extended P182 million in aid to typhoon victims in the Philippines.

The European Union, Sweden, Australia, United States, Germany, and New Zealand "answered the call issued by the United Nations (UN) and humanitarian partners in the Philippines," the UN said in a statement on Thursday.
