Mega Global Corp. on Friday said it had invested P1 billion for a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Santo Tomas town, Batangas province, to meet growing demand after announcing in June it was putting in P500 million to make the facility fully operational in less than two years.

In a virtual briefing, Mega Global President and Chief Executive Officer William Tiu Lim said the plant would allow his company to support local businesses, “as we plan to source our raw materials and manpower from suppliers within Luzon as part of [the] DTI’s (Department of Trade and Industry) Buy Local, Go Lokal initiative.”
