INSISTING that the government could do better than to declare the month of April as National Hemophilia Awareness month, an organization has called on the Aquino administration and those running in congress to help come out with policies and programs that would take care of patients with bleeding disorders.

Speaking during the weekly Bulong Pulungan news forum at Hotel Sofitel, Lourdes Formalejo, president of the Hemophilia Association of the Philippines for Love and Service (Haplos) Foundation, said while they appreciate the issuance of proclamation No. 1478 declaring April 17 as National Hemophilia day, it is time to go beyond awareness and come out with more concrete policies that would benefit hemophilia patients.
