THE Russian vaccine Sputnik V will be shipped internationally starting in December and will cost less than $20 for the two doses required for treating the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), an official said on Tuesday.

Kirill Dmitriev, Chief Executive of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), the sovereign wealth fund of Russia that bankrolled the development of the vaccine, said manufacturing partners have created a lyophilized, or dry, version of the vaccine that would enable its storage at 2-8 degrees Celsius.
