FORMER Health secretary now Iloilo Rep. Janette Garin, Health Secretary Francisco Duque 3rd and 37 others are facing criminal charges before the Department of Justice (DoJ) for the deaths of 101 school children who were allegedly inoculated with the controversial anti-Dengue vaccine known as Dengvaxia.

Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida Rueda-Acosta, the agency's special panel of lawyers and representatives from the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) accompanied some of the victims' parents who filed on Wednesday complaints of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide, violations of the Anti-Torture Law (Republic Act 9745), Consumer Act of the Philippines (R.A. 7394) and the Philippine Pharmacy Act (R.A. 10918).
