BDO Unibank Inc. (BDO) announced on Wednesday it now fully owns BDO Nomura Securities Inc., its local stock brokerage firm venture with Nomura Holdings Inc.
In a statement, the Sy-led lender said it had completed its buyout of Nomura’s ownership in BDO Nomura. Earlier, BDO subsidiary BDO Capital & Investment Corp. acquired Nomura’s 49-percent stake in the firm. This followed the June 23 announcement of the termination of BDO and Nomura’s joint venture arrangement.
