THE mayors of Metro Manila want the metropolis to remain under general community quarantine (GCQ) up to the end of the year to avert a possible surge in coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections during the Christmas and New Year holidays, the country’s chief implementer of the government’s response to the pandemic said on Thursday.
