Interior Secretary Eduardo Año ordered the Joint Task Force (JTF) Covid Shield to be more strict in enforcing health protocols to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in commercial areas as Filipinos prepare to celebrate Christmas.
Año said police personnel would be tapped to help monitor the observance of quarantine measures in villages.
