The recent eight-round exhibition fight between former champions Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. attracted an estimated 1.5 million pay-per-view subscribers for a whopping revenue of nearly $80 million, not bad for two oldies who basically treated fans to a sparring session.
Tyson, 54, inactive for 15 years before the exhibition contest, took home nearly $10 million for the scrap. The former champion is mulling another exhibition and former foes Evander Holyfield and James “Buster” Douglas are offering their services for a shot at a huge payday.
