Remote areas will enjoy better internet service once the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) completes the first phase of its National Broadband Program (NBP), according to Sen. Juan Edgardo Angara.

Better connectivity is expected in 2021 because the NBP got a bigger allocation under the P4.5-trillion General Appropriations Bill (GAB) that Congress ratified last week, the senator said on Sunday.
