ILAGAN CITY, Isabela: Cagayan Valley (Region 2) can now expect a stable hog supply with the establishment of a P500-million swine breeding center (SBC) in Northern Luzon amid threats of the dreaded African swine fever (ASF), affecting the pork industry.
The SBC, which was recently inaugurated by Agriculture Secretary William Dar, is a joint venture of Charoen Pokhand Inc. of Thailand and Sagittarian Agricultural Philippines Inc. It is located in Barangay Santa Victoria in Ilagan City, Isabela province
