A very interesting kind of “competition” will ensue in the entertainment scene next week, when a single piece of work is presented in two different platforms. It is neither a battle of the teleseryes nor a war between Kimmy Dora and Boy Pickup; it is local theater versus big Hollywood movie.

A day after Tom Cruise hits the big screen with the film adaptation of the Broadway hit Rock of Ages, maverick Filipino theater company Atlantis Productions will stage its own version of the five-time Tony Award nominated musical on June 15 at the Carlos P. Romulo Theater of the RCBC Plaza.
