OFFICIALS and the 12-000 strong work force of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) have raised serious concerns over the proposed measure in the Senate that seeks to abolish PAGCOR and raising the local gaming revenue tax, saying that such move will affect the capacity of local casinos to compete with major gaming destinations on in the Southeast Asia.

Senator Ralph Recto’s Senate Bill 3178 which seeks to abolish Pagcor and replace it with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Commission (Pagcom) which will function as a regulating body of the gaming operations in the country.
