SEN. Sherwin Gatchalian on Wednesday called for tighter technology security in banks to protect consumers, clients and depositors from cyberattacks.

“Security technology of the banks has to be improved,” he said as he confirmed that his credit card with the Union Bank of the Philippines was hacked by cybercriminals.
