A subsidiary of Ayala-led Globe Telecom Inc. looks to expand its shares-services business to Asia as it aims to become a a top player in the continent.

In a statement on Tuesday, Asticom Technology Inc. said it would do so through its new business process solutions company Asti Business Services Inc. (ABSI). It offers end-to-end solutions for human resources, administrative, finance, and information technology functions, it added.

The unit would render shared services to various industries that are in synergy with Globe’s businesses. These include telecommunications, financial technology, information technology, retail, health, logistics, automotive, banking, education, real estate, and aviation.

“Amid the [coronavirus] pandemic, we see a growing need for IT-BSO (information technology-business services operations) services as enterprises have reinvented their ways of working while fully focusing on their core business functions,” Asticom President and Chief Executive Officer Mharicar Castillo-Reyes said in the statement.

“In line with our vision to become the No. 1 shared services company in the Philippines and Asia by 2029, we are confident that ABSI [would] be able to create purposeful growth for the local and international markets,” she added.

According to ABSI General Manager Gary Ona, his company’s goal is to showcase Filipino innovation and expertise as an international IT-BSO provider.

“With ABSI, we emphasize people development and unwavering commitment to innovation, quality and efficiency,” he said.
