President Rodrigo Duterte has issued an executive order lowering the tariff on imported mechanically deboned meat from 40 percent to five percent.
Duterte signed Executive Order 123 on January 18 after Executive Order 82 which reduced the tariff for mechanically deboned meat to five percent expired.
