The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday gave assurances that there will be no crackdown and militarization inside campuses of the University of the Philippines.

Brig. Gen. Ildebrandi Usana, the PNP spokesman, gave the assurance after the Department of National Defense terminated its agreement with UP that banned soldiers and policemen from entering UP campuses.
