The Department of Finance (DoF) said on Wednesday it would seek P39 million from the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) for the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s (BIR) digital transformation project.

In a statement, the Finance department said it would do so after President Rodrigo Duterte approved its request to designate and authorize Undersecretaries Antonette Tiokno and Mark Dennis Joven and BIR Deputy Commissioner Lanee David to negotiate for a deal on a grant worth $808,450 (about P38.85 million) with the US trade agency’s authorized representatives.
