I READ the column of Mr. Yen Makabenta titled “Sweden keeps open for 1 million kids: No masks, no lockdown, no deaths” (The Manila Times, Jan. 14, 2021) about schoolchildren that is based on a study that indicates that they are not adversely affected by Covid-19.
There are, however, two recent articles about Sweden’s response to Covid-19 that do not indicate that this country is a model for emulation. The first article mentions schoolchildren and Covid-19. The titles and the links are as follows:
