In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, consumer behavior basically changed and in response, consumers dramatically altered their shopping habits, according to a survey released by Emerson’s Commercial and Residential Solutions business in the last quarter of 2020. It is one of the challenges that has put pressure on retailers to adapt to changing consumption patterns and on Emerson to ensure that the goods they transport maintain their freshness from the source to the destination as well as in the premises of its customers namely supermarkets and groceries.

Emerson has two main businesses: automation solutions and commercial and residential solutions in the cold chain industry. It has a significant presence in the Philippines, with Manila being one of the major regional hubs of its global operations.
