Luis Manzano ended bad news 2020 with his own good news when he announced he had finally proposed to his long-time girlfriend, actress Jessy Mendiola. And of course, she said yes.
The two began dating in 2016 and Manzano was vocal early on how he’s ready to settle down. It was the first time the top TV host openly talked about marriage following a string of celebrity relationships, but likewise acknowledged that his much younger girlfriend might want to bide her time with so much promise ahead of her own career.
“It was perfect timing actually when I posted [about the new endorsement] because I was cooking tilapia for Jessy. We had the best meal right after, Crispy Fry Fish tapos gulay kayo. You can’t ask for anything more — napaka simple napaka Pinoy at napaka sarap,” Manzano guaranteed.
Besides fried tilapia, Mendiola can actually look forward to more elaborate dishes from Manzano once they’re married. After all —and perhaps unknown to many —the popular son of Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos and seasoned host and actor Edu Manzano graduated with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
For now, the next big question is, when exactly will their wedding be? The couple, in their latest interviews, confirmed they both want to tie the knot this 2021.
