Metro Manila mayors backed the extension of the general community quarantine (GCQ) for another month because of the threat posed by the new coronavirus variant.
“For now, it was announced that we will be under GCQ until the end of February,” Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano, who attended Tuesday’s meeting of the Metro Manila Council (MMC), said.
