When Calvin Oftana told San Beda University head coach Boyet Fernandez of his decision to skip his final playing year to apply for the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie Draft, Fernandez admitted he felt sad about it.
After all, Fernandez can use the services of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Season 95 Men's basketball Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the Red Lions' quest to reclaim the crown it lost to rival Colegio de San de Letran Knights.
