THERE is a saying “we cannot live without the air we breathe.” Air defines the architecture we live in. Who wouldn’t want to have an airy house with high ceilings, or a huge window catching the breeze facing the sea, or a house fronting an open park and definitely a corner office with two windows? On the downside, who would want to have a window opening to a smelly alley? These characteristics of structures are caused by the pollution in our surroundings.
A few years ago, developers and architects came up with great ideas on high-rise condominiums right smack in the middle of commercial areas to create mix-use complexes. This was to make the developed areas dynamic and accessible to all kinds of people.
