PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the deferment of the implementation of Republic Act 11229 or the Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act which mandates children to be in car seats while inside motor vehicles.
Presidential spokesman Harry Roque Jr. on Thursday said the President ordered the deferment of the law because of the continued crisis being faced by Filipinos caused by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic and the African Swine Fever.
