Healthcare system inaccessible – expert

Strong political will and good governance are needed to introduce reforms in the health sector, which a professional futurist described as “inaccessible and elitist.”

Shermon Cruz, chief futurist of the Center for Engaged Foresight, said the Philippines is missing the opportunities on frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence and satellite technology because of the dismal situation of the healthcare system that has rendered the public “powerless.”
