LA TRINIDAD, Benguet: Five Cordillera lawmakers filed a resolution in the House of Representatives condemning the erroneous portrayal of Igorots in textbooks, learning modules and instructional materials.
The congressmen directed the Department of Education (DepEd) to thoroughly review and correct any texts that are discriminatory to Igorots and other Indigenous Peoples and to instruct authors and publishers to withdraw these from nationwide circulation.
