PREMATURE campaigning or "advertisements or posters of potential candidates" outside of the prescribed period set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) does not violate existing election laws, according to an official said on Wednesday.

But Commissioner Rowena Guanzon said in her Twitter post that the Comelec would "revisit the rules".
