"AURING" has intensified into a tropical storm as it threatens Davao and Caraga Region with heavy rains as it makes landfall in the area over the weekend, the state-run Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Thursday.
At 10 a.m., the tropical cyclone was estimated 685 kilometers east-southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 11 a.m. advisory.
