A think tank suggested expanding the coverage of amusement taxes that local government units (LGUs) can impose to include streaming shows as they look for other means to increase their sources of revenues amid the coronavirus pandemic.

In a report over the weekend, the National Tax Research Center (NTRC) said local governments need more of these sources to finance their various programs and continue serving their constituents as the Covid-19 crisis persisted.
