Alex Eala continues to rise in the Women’s Tennis Association Singles rankings.
Eala climbed 140 places in the ladder, as the Filipina tennis prodigy went from No. 903 in the world to 763 on Monday.
This is the third time the 15-year-old Eala significantly rose in the rankings since joining professional tournaments last year.
Her first ascent came when she ruled the W15 Manacor tourney first leg in Spain, as she went 248 notches higher to go from 1190th to 942nd on February 1.
A week later, after reaching the quarterfinals in both the second and third legs of the W15 Manacor tourney, Eala moved up by 39 places to be at No. 903 on February 8.
Eala then made another quarterfinals finish in the W25 Grenoble tourney in France, which boosted her stock by 140 places to become the 763rd best female tennister in the world.
In total, Eala’s one title and three quarterfinals finishes over four pro tourneys, shoved her up by 427 places in the rankings.
