THE Philippines logged 1,557 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) on Wednesday, according to the Department of Health (DoH), raising the total number of infections to 566,420.
More than 95 percent of the 30,970 active cases are mild, moderate or asymptomatic while the rest remain severe or critical.
