Winning culture in The Big Apple

What does it take to have the winning culture in the NBA? Does it start with the team, the players, the coach or the front office?

Some teams can draw good players and, in turn, draw good coaches (looking at you, Phil Jackson). A city’s good location and huge market can also be an advantage, but these cannot be translated into actual triumph right away. The New York Knicks are the prime example.
