After an anemic start despite their superstar-packed line-up, the Brooklyn Nets are finally humming on all cylinders. They are riding high on an eight-game winning streak — currently the longest streak in the NBA — beating top-caliber teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers during their streak. With upcoming games versus Dallas, San Antonio and Houston, this streak could easily continue to double digits.

Brooklyn’s win-loss record is now at 22-12, just a game behind the Philadelphia 76ers for the Eastern Conference lead. And amazingly, the Nets are hitting their stride without star Kevin Durant and his 29 points per game. He has missed the past six games due to a hamstring injury. He is expected to miss at least three more games, and no one knows if he can play in the All-Star game.
