METRO Manila mayors have deferred the reopening of cinemas and arcades following a surge in the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in their respective areas.
Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Benjamin "Benhur" Abalos, Jr. told The Manila Times late Saturday night that this was the agreement reached by the Metro Manila Council (MMC) after a four-hour meeting with the Department of Health (DoH). The MMC is the policy-making body of the MMDA.
