THE new bilateral labor agreement between the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will put to stop the influx of undocumented Filipino workers into the seven-member states of the Emirates, according to Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello 3rd.

Bello disclosed over the weekend that more than 80 percent or almost 500,000 of the estimated 600,000 Filipino workers in UAE were undocumented or did not pass through the legal overseas employment process and without the required overseas employment
