A group championing the rights of commuters have sounded the alarm over vans operating between Manila and Baguio City charging more than five times the fares offered by provincial buses, calling the attention of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on the matter.

“These colorum vans charge hapless passengers outrageous fares. For instance, every passenger in a one-way Manila to Baguio trip is being charged a staggering P3,000,” said Argee Guevarra, head of the Pilipino Society and Development Advocates Commuter-Consumer.
