There are several events that we commemorate annually every month of March. But March this year is extra special.

This month we begin celebrating the 500th year of Christianity in the Philippines. Several events have been lined up to commemorate this. Last Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Lent, Pope Francis kicked off Rome's celebration of this milestone with a Mass at Saint Peter's Basilica. In his homily, the Holy Father thanked all Catholic Filipinos for spreading the Gospel and bringing joy to the whole world and Christian communities and urged them to persevere and continue with the mission of evangelization.
