Govt asked to ensure affordable prices of goods

SENATE President Vicente Sotto 3rd Saturday called on the government to assure the public that prices of basic commodities and services will remain reasonable and affordable amid the worrisome surge in Covid-19 cases and unified curfew hours regulating travel and movement, especially in Metro Manila.

“Buhay na buhay na naman ang takot sa puso ng ating mga kababayan. Muli na namang bumalik sa kanilang mga ala-ala ang mga hirap at pasakit na kanilang hinarap noong umpisa ng pandemya. Ang mga Pilipino, kaya nilang magtiis, pero hindi nila kayang magutom (The fear of the people is back as they are reminded of the difficulties and pain they experienced during the start of the pandemic. The Filipinos can endure hardship but not hunger),” Sotto said.
