FOUR built environment professionals from Melbourne, Australia, shared their expertise, ideas, and strategies in sustainable architecture and urban development in the virtual conference of the United Architects of the Philippines–Makati CBD Chapter (UAP-CBD), in partnership with the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) and the Australia Alumni Communities Philippines (AACPh) last March 6, 2021.

The Built Environment Conference 2021 (BEC2021) was the perfect follow-up to the event of the same title held last year in February at the SMX Convention Center, SM Aura, Taguig City wherein the UAP-CBD Chapter opened the doors of its award-winning professional development program ꟷ The Business of Architecture ꟷ to allied professionals in the built environment for the very first time. With this year’s theme, “Urban Planning and Design of the World’s Most Livable Cities ꟷ Lessons from Melbourne, Australia,” the conference sought to be even more in-depth and comprehensive as it reaches out beyond our borders and engage professionals from the Land Down Under.
